Hi there ...

Since the day Eotn came out I was thinking of making my 3 monk heros use Protective bond and Essence Bond on me ... on the wiki it says that the cost would be split among the monks that cast this spell ... 2 of them at level 13 protection and one at level 16 so protective bond should cost 3 energy per hit ... splitting this among 3 monks they loose 1 energy per hit and with essence bond on me they get that back ... so basically they shouldn't loose any energy, yet they do loose energy and protective bond gets removed.

is there anything I'm missing here? ... if protective bond costs each monk 3 energy at 13 protection and above then why the wiki says that the cost is shared between the monks ?!?!

[skill]Protective Bond[/skill] is working properly, the skill that's acting weird is [skill]Essence Bond[/skill]. Essence Bond will only activate when you take Physical or Elemental Damage. This means you have to actually take damage, instead of zero damage. Also, the damage has to be physical or elemental. An example would be a wand that deals shadow damage.

A different way you could get energy is to have all three heroes use [skill]Life Bond[/skill] on you and then cast [skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill] on themselves. In doing so, they gain energy from the damage transferred over by Life Bond, which is close to none thanks to the protection of Protective Bond.

Yeah that Method works really good in PvP too. im a prot monk and this build with lifebond and bal really rock
